First we have a very short film "Iron and Beyond" exploring as Pumping the Iron revolutionized the all industry fitness and created the international icon in the form Arnold Schwarzenegger. It shows also as was reflected this on stars of the action Hollywood, what had and has still the influence. There express their opinion such great as: George Butler, James Cameron, Clint Eastwood, John McTiernan (dir. among other things Predator), John Milius (dir. Conan), Bill Philips, The Rock, Liev Schreiber, Sylvester Stallone, Carl Weathers. Then we have a main film :). The film came into being into 25 the anniversary Pumping Iron and shows if "from the kitchen" how was curly. I INSTRUCT FIRST OF ALL, BECAUSE CONTAINS A LOT SCENES NOT CONTRACTED And DELETED WITH PUMPING IRON!;] One can say that it is a little such "sentimental travel into the past". Lords come together for 25 years and remember how this was. Many things by them themselves, it is explained and shown. Are Of course all main heroes Pumping Iron. In the latter part, we find out what do per diem todays. After the film, on itself end Arnold explains also all connected controversies with the film among other things his "conflict and the rivalry" with Lou Ferrigno, the absence on the funeral parent, hiding of the little shirt Mike Katz by Ken Waller, the comparison of the pump in muscle to the orgasm, the usage of steroids, the smoking joint and other. I instruct heartily :) Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbu, Lou Ferrigno, Matty Ferrigno, Victoria Ferrigno, Mike Katz, Ken Waller, Joe Weider, Roger Callard, Marianne Claire, Ed Corney, Serge Nubret, Robbie Robinson, Patrick Reynolds, Jimmy Williams, Bud Cort, Liev Schreiber (narrator).

May 21, 2012 - And people dont understand that it doesnt matter if you are smart or dumb in any sport. You dont have to be dumb to pump iron or fight against someone, it's about overcoming your own borders again and again and it even helps when yu're smart but the most part is heart and fkin dedication. Man really these guys in this documentary were athletes, as a former wrestler I always appreciated bodybuilders for forming an aesthetical physique, but hell man those guys were sportsman.

May 22, 2012 - if your an ectomorph as bad as me you do :P

MrVanhoden Says:

May 22, 2012 - nah then its easy, eat more than you burn your metabolism will imediatly turn that into muscle, if not wait till your fully grown which is the age of 21 for a guy. I was a wrestler from age 6-21 on a very high lvl, went to a elite school in germany etc and I kinda was behind in physical development. Now that I'm 22 and studying it's easier for me to get results through lifting and stuff as it was back then when I was training waayy harder, just because my body is behind in years.

MrVanhoden Says:

May 22, 2012 - theres a rule of thumb that you shouldnt touch iron until ur fully grown, but only a few people have the patience to follow it: dont touch iron until you're fully grown. Before just do pull ups/dips/muscle ups/push ups/running/partner exercises the list is long. But when fully grown just eat mre than you burn and train like 4 times a week, results should be seen in a year or so, have the patience it takes time to grow real muscle mass without roids/all the chemical creatin and protein shit.

ReevesyPowerlifting Says:

May 22, 2012 - gooby pls, elaborate on "protein shit"? good look building muscle without "protein"

May 23, 2012 - After watching the first 8 minutes I wonder why it´s called "The Making of Pumping Iron" and not "The Making of Arnold the Movie Star".

MellonVegan Says:

May 23, 2012 - Ok, got it, it´s just the introduction.

MellonVegan Says:

May 23, 2012 - Is the narrator the "Wolverine´s brother"-Liev Schreiber?

qwertyabsurd Says:

May 24, 2012 - Steroids were rare back then & you had the "natural" bodybuilder-- one that accepts the limits of the human body & doesn't attempt to push it beyond what he can healthily maintain--perfect physique as said. There's also a rush & people don't want to or can't spend the time to sculpt muscles, so it was quickly realized that natural means like eating/drinking protein & hypertrophy training could only do it so fast & produce only certain extremes. Steroids became the staple of bodybuilding.

qwertyabsurd Says:

May 24, 2012 - The Making of Pumping Iron is a documentary about Arnold & how he affected bodybuilding & fitness throughout the U.S.

MrVanhoden Says:

May 24, 2012 - I dont wanna tell you the story of my life, I did wrestle for 16 years at the only east german olympic training centre and well I never even took protein supplements and rly it didnt hurt, idk how arethinking but I do know my stuff abut training/eating everything and yeah it is touhger and more expensive to do it without any supplement, but well I dont wanna eat chemical shit and well thats what all those creatin powders are, now go on with another argument. Greetings

NickEagles24 Says:

May 24, 2012 - I'm a natural bodybuilder, I've contemplated steroids many times. With all of these actors and fitness models that people want to look like and the easy accessibility of steroids nowadays it is tempting for some. I went to Chapters book store earlier today, picked up a couple of fitness mags while having a drink, and saw a bunch of steroid ads like for d-bol and etc.

May 24, 2012 - Finally someone with a brain on youtube! i have been trying to tell people this or years.

itsjuniorbro Says:

May 24, 2012 - In all reality, if HGH and Royal Velvet were lights, HGH would be a child's night light and Royal Velvet would be the sun. There simply is no comparison that can be made between the two. There are no known harmful side effects with Royal Velvet, unlike HGH. Royal Velvet aids in bringing a youthful and properly balanced supply of many growth factors, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and a host of micronutrients to your body. HGH is only one hormone.

itsjuniorbro Says:

May 24, 2012 - Hundreds and hundreds of people who have used so-called IGF-1 products as well as other antler velvet products who have switched to using Royal Velvet. They have told us there is no comparison in the results. That is why our company, and no other, has hundreds of NFL football players, NBA basketball players, Major League Baseball players, Olympic athletes, professional body builders, Strong man contestants, NHL hockey players, and famous movie stars and personalities who use our product.

May 26, 2012 - Today's builders use growth hormones intended for horses and cattle for crying out loud. I hate it when people look at Arnie and say "Guys back then are so small compared to guys like Jay Cutler..." Yeah they were less bulky and more proportionate like you said.
